YOUR EXHIBITION (WORKSHOP)

Students will develop an exhibition based on the theme of migration. No idea is too wild! The session begins with a short guided tour focusing on how to tell a story effectively. Working in groups, students will create an exhibition concept that they will present to the class. Among other things, they will consider who their target audience is and how to make a story engaging for their classmates. Afterwards, the class can choose to continue working on the concepts back at school, where they can be turned into 3D models.

The video was developed in collaboration with University College Copenhagen and the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship.

Crafts and Design: Students can work with simple design processes related to creating their own products.

Target group: Grades 4–7.
Duration: 90 minutes at the museum + 1–2 lessons at school if you wish to continue working on the projects.

MIGRATION

Migration takes many forms – labour migration, migration for love, flight, adventure and forced migration. But what drives people to leave their own country? Through a range of individual stories, students explore different groups of labour migrants and refugees while considering what they themselves would do if they found themselves in similar situations. The programme is adapted to the age of the target group and to the topic being studied at school.

History: Based on a chronological overview, students can explain how societies have developed under different circumstances.

Target group: Grades 4–7.
Duration: 60–90 minutes, depending on the agreement with the school.
