OPENING HOURS, PRICES AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION
We have gathered all the essential information you need before visiting the Migration Museum of Denmark. If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact us.
When can you visit us?
Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00-16:00
Sunday – Monday: Closed
The museum is also closed between Christmas and New Year, on all public holidays, as well as on Constitution Day and 1 May. A visit usually takes 1-2 hours.
How much does it cost to visit us?
Documenting and communicating one of the most topical issues of our time comes with a responsibility. That is why admission to the Migration Museum of Denmark is always free for both adults and children, giving everyone the opportunity to learn more about our shared history of migration.
How do you find us?
The Migration Museum of Denmark is located in Farum Kulturhus at Kulturtorvet 12, 3520 Farum. The museum is a 5-minute walk from Farum Station, where S-train line B runs to and from the station every 10 minutes during the daytime.

How do you park when visiting us?
If you are arriving by car, we recommend using the parking spaces at Farum Bytorv, located right next to the Migration Museum of Denmark/Farum Kulturhus.
When you enter and leave the parking area, cameras automatically register your licence plate. As a general rule, the first two hours of parking are free, but visitors to the Migration Museum of Denmark/Farum Kulturhus receive an additional two hours free of charge, giving you a total of four hours of free parking. Just remember to register your licence plate on the screens inside the cultural centre.
After the free parking period, you pay for each commenced hour. Parking can be paid for using EasyPark.
Is food and drink available?
You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, which may be consumed in the museum’s classroom. Food and drinks are not permitted in the exhibitions.
From 21 August 2026, you can also visit Café Trappaud in Farum Kulturhus, which is run by two generations and focuses on diversity. Just around the corner is Farum Bytorv, where you will also find several places to eat and shop.
